Priority Claim allows you to use the filing date of a previously filed trademark application in another country as the filing date for this application. To be eligible, the previously filed trademark application must be for the same trademark and have been filed within the last 6 months. If you select Priority Claim, we will request the details of the foreign application after you fill this form. Please note that the trademark applications must be identical in order to claim priority.
To file a trademark application on behalf of our clients, the Trademark Office requires attorneys to submit a notarized Power of Attorney (POA). This document must be signed by the trademark owner or their legal representative. Once your order is placed, we will send you the POA template along with detailed signing instructions.
